Elementary School Principal

Demetrius Ellis has been in education for over 10 years. He started his career as a special education inclusion teacher in his hometown of Somerville, TX. From there, he spent the next seven years at Waco ISD, two as a special education inclusion teacher and five as an assistant principal. Mr. Ellis also served as an assistant principal at China Spring Intermediate, before becoming an assistant principal at Connally High School.

Mr. Ellis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Sam Houston State University and a Master of Education degree in Administration from Sam Houston State University.

Mr. Ellis and his wife Hannah have four children; Elle, Legend, Lawson, and Indy. Mr. Ellis spends his time away from work enjoying family and learning new skills.

Elementary School Assistant Principal

Kassidi Johnson is the current assistant principal at Connally Elementary. She holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in special education and a Master's of Education in Special Education with an emphasis in assessment from Texas Tech University. She also attended North Texas and received a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Texas Licensed Behavior Analyst. Prior to working at Connally, Mrs. Johnson has worked as special education and general education teacher for elementary aged students. She also spent several years working as an Educational Diagnostician and Behavior Specialist throughout Bell County. Outside of school, Mrs. Johnson enjoys spending time with her family and attending sporting events of her children.
