Hermann Pereira

High School Principal

Hermann Pereira

Hermann Pereira is the Principal of Connally High School. Mr. Pereira is a Houston native, but has called Waco home for over 16 years where he has become passionate about finding collaborative approaches to serving people within the community. He has spent the past 16 years in education in a variety of roles, including the past 3 years in the non-profit sector. He is now returning to Connally, having previously served in a teaching and administrative capacity at Connally High School. He has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters in Educational Administration from Baylor University.

Mr. Pereira is active in the community, serving on the boards for the Centex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Waco Mammoth Foundation, MCC Education Foundation and Goodwill Industries. In his free time, Mr. Pereira enjoys spending his time with his 2 children and rooting for all Houston sports. 


Elizabeth Brownlee

High School Assistant Principal of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment

Elizabeth Brownlee

Elizabeth Brownlee is the Director of College and Career Readiness for Connally High School. Originally from Illinois, Mrs. Brownlee has been lucky enough to call Texas home for the last 18 years. Starting her career at Connally High School she has spent the past 14 years working in public education as a teacher and school counselor in Dallas and the Central Texas area focusing on Career and Technical Education. Most recently she has spent the last two years as Lead Counselor and Testing Coordinator at Gatesville High School. Throughout her career Mrs. Brownlee has been passionate about encouraging students to discover their passions and developing skills they can use long after they graduate from high school. In her career she has been named the 2011-2012 Connally High School Teacher of the Year and the 2021-2022 Employee of the Year for Gatesville High School. Mrs Brownlee holds a Bachelor's of Science degree from Baylor University in General Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher Education and Masters of Arts degree in School Counseling from Amberton University.

George Chambers

High School Assistant Principal

George Chambers

My name is George L Chambers and I am educator/coach with a passion for shaping young minds for over 20 years. I have dedicated my career to helping students reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.

Having obtained my Masters Degree from Texas A&M Kingsville and a Bachelor's Degree from Tarleton State University, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as an Assistant Principal . I firmly believe in the power of education to transform lives and strive to instill a love for learning in all students.

Outside of my professional life, I cherish my role as a family man. I am happily married to Donna Chambers, and together we form a proud Connally family. We have two wonderful kids who are actively involved in the school district.

When not busy in the classroom or on the field, I enjoy downtime by indulging in his favorite hobbies. I finds solace in fishing, an activity that allow me to unwind and connect with nature. Above all, I treasure spending quality time with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

I enjoy working in the Connally school community, inspiring and shaping the lives of all students.

Staffron Terrell

High School Assistant Principal

Staffron Terrell

Staffron Terrell is from Dallas, Tx and a graduate of Richardson High School. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from The University of North Texas. He is currently working on a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at The University of North Texas.

He started his education career in 2006 after working as a probation officer for 12 years. He taught Physical Education and coached at Tennyson Middle School in Waco for two years. He then taught Physical Education at Marlin Middle School from 2008-2011. He also coached football and served as the Head Boys track coach.

Mr. Terrell started his Connally career  in 2011 as a P.E. teacher at the elementary school. He transitioned to the High School as a Special Education/Inclusion Teacher in 2014. He then moved over to the Alternative Education School in 2015. During this time, he has also coached Basketball, Football, and was the Head Boys Track Coach.



Renee Thompson

Dr. Renee Thompson

Dr. Renee Thompson graduated from Hardin-Simmons, receiving her Bachelor's degree in Education. However, she did not pursue the educational route for many years. After graduating, Dr. Thompson and her husband relocated to Minnesota and then Maine so that he could follow his dream in the healthcare profession, which motivated her to begin her educational journey. While in Maine, Dr. Thompson served students as a Family and Consumer Science teacher for many years while simultaneously working on attaining her Master's degree and later her Doctorate, both in Educational Leadership. During the 20 years that she spent in Maine, she worked as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Dr. Thompson moved back to Texas in 2016 and has served as an administrator at Connally ISD ever since.

Anne Trevino

High School Counselor

Anne Trevino

Anne Trevino is excited to serve as a counselor at CHS. Prior to coming to Connally Anne spent 9 years as a Counselor at China Spring ISD and 10 years teaching within the community in various rolls.

Anne is a Waco native and graduated from Baylor University in 2003 with a degree in Early Childhood Education, then went on to pursue her passion of Counseling with a Master’s degree in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health from Lamar University in 2013.

Anne has been married to her husband since 2002. They have two boys together. Anne enjoys spending time with her family, working out, hiking, and attending her boys events.

Andrea Clifton

High School Counselor

Andrea Clifton

Andrea Clifton is a 2003 high school graduate of West High School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University, Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction, and a Master of Education in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M. Prior to coming to Connally, Mrs.Clifton has worked at A&M Consolidated HS, Bryan HS, Westlake HS, and China Spring HS. She is starting her 17th year in education and this will be her 14th year as a high school counselor. Mrs. Clifton loves Connally HS because of the family culture and the super awesome students that attend here. Outside of school, Mrs. Clifton is married to her husband Chris and they have two boys Wyatt (7) and Ty (3). She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, shopping, going to the movies, and playing with her labradoodle named Cherry May.

Angelica Guerrero

High School Counselor

Angelica Gaona

Angelica Gaona is a 2009 graduate of Chilton High School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Texas A&M University and Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University. Prior to working at Connally, Ms. Guerrero started her teaching career at James Earl Rudder High School and then spent the next 7 years working at China Spring ISD as an English high school teacher and then moved toward a Special Education Inclusion role at their middle school. Ms. Guerrero loved her time in the classroom, but found joy in the counseling role. She began working as a counselor at Connally High School in the 2022-23 school year. This will be her 10th year in education. She has enjoyed her time at Connally and loves the relationships that she has built with the students. In her spare time, Ms. Guerrero loves hanging out with her family and friends. She is also an avid reader and loves talking about books with anyone.
