Get a good night’s sleep before the test.
Have a nutritious breakfast.
Dress comfortably.
Bring all materials you need, such as pencils and erasers.
Relax, take slow, deep, breaths.
Follow directions carefully.
Read each question at least 3 times before answering.
Answer the easy questions first.
Move on if you don’t know an answer but don't forget to reread and go back.
Mark answers neatly. If you must erase, erase completely.
Review to make sure you have answered every question.
Don’t change any answers unless you are sure they’re wrong -- your first answer is more likely correct.

Set up a regular study time in a quiet, comfortable place
Study daily and when you are not given specific homework, read
Keep track of your assignments and supplies you need to complete them
Allow study breaks every 20 minutes or so and have a nutritious snack
Break large tasks into several smaller ones in order to study efficiently
Set goals and organize your priorities by what material is hardest for you
Value organization skills and practice them until it's a habit for yourself
Use study aids, such as quizzes, flashcards, and reading
Remember, it's OK to ask for help
Study with a partner if it is helpful

Value homework
Take time to unwind before starting but set a time each day to get it done
Make sure you have all the supplies you might need (pencils, paper, clean work space)
Keep your work in a folder and stay organized
Pick a comfortable and quiet area to do your work
Give yourself small breaks as needed so you are not over worked
Ask for help if you need help while taking your time
Have a friend, sibling, or caregiver spot check your work and point out errors WITHOUT giving you the answer
Check your assignment while reading all directions and examples
