As we navigate this next snap of cold weather, please make sure that you are aware of how Connally ISD communicates information regarding school delays and closures. The district works hard to make decisions based on the most updated information from the National Weather Service. Oftentimes, district officials will personally drive each of the roads in our district in order to determine whether or not they are safe to travel on.
Any school cancelations due to bad weather will require the district to update its instructional calendar in order for students to make up the time missed due to a closure.
Please take a moment to check and make sure that your contact information is correct in Skyward. If you would like to change your contact number/email, please reach out to the front office of your student's campus.

We had a fantastic time hosting several members of our community for our second annual Senior Citizen Valentine's Day Luncheon!
After being escorted in by our Modern Gentlemen and Classy Cadets, community members had the opportunity to connect with one another while hearing about all of the exciting things that are happening in their school district. They got the chance to view short presentations from multiple campuses and student groups, including a series of adorable songs from our day care students!
Each of our guests were treated to a delicious meal prepared by students in the Connally High School Culinary Arts program. Several attendees left the event with beautiful flower arrangements prepared by the newly established Connally ISD Floral Design program!
It was a great day full of smiles, laughter, and enthusiastic conversation!
We look forward to hosting more community events in the future!

Connally ISD is excited to share news of a new resource for parental support in our community!
Sponsored by the Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network, Warm-Line is a service geared towards parent support and guidance that teaches nurturing parenting techniques through lived experience. It provides a place for parents and caregivers to gain support and resources. The resource is open to anyone in the public, and gives parents the opportunity to reach out to receive help in processing their feelings in times of high stress and overwhelming situations. This resource can be used to help individuals mitigate stress to avoid crises from arising.
For more information about Warm-Lin, visit www.hotbhn.org.

Shepherd's Heart will be in Connally ISD from 3:30 to 4:30 this afternoon for the February FREE food distribution. There is no income verification required.

Congratulations to the CHS Speech and Debate Team!
For the first time since 2017, Connally will be represented at the #UILState CX Debate Tournament!
The team of Daniel Escobedo and Elena Astrain went UNDEFEATED at the district meet and won first place, securing their trip to the state tournament.
The duo of Glyn McDaniel and Juliey McDaniel also qualified for the state meet after placing 2nd overall at the district level.
This impressive showing represents the first time since 2013 that Connally has captured BOTH of the state qualifying slots.
We are so proud of these students and cannot wait to watch them represent the #CadetStandard with pride at the state tournament!

Students all across Connally ISD have been working hard all year long to make academic progress!
Students in Ms. Brown's 5th Grade Math class have spent the past week working on lessons involving finding volume. Their willingness to tackle the subject matter head on and persist past any difficulties along the way are great representations of the #CadetStandard!
We look forward to sharing more success stories from the classroom!

We are deeply saddened to share news of the passing of Dr. Don Hancock.
A lifelong Cadet, Dr. Hancock worked to better our school community tirelessly for several decades. His impressive resume of service included several years as a member of the Connally ISD Board of Trustees in addition to his leadership of the district as its superintendent.
Upon his retirement, Dr. Hancock remained an active supporter of Cadet Nation. You could often see him in the stands of a stadium or gym cheering on the Cadets and Lady Cadets – including his own grandchildren. He took great pride in the successes that our students brought home, and he remained deeply invested in watching our programs continue to grow and thrive.
As a leader, Dr. Hancock modeled excellence in everything that he did, and he helped those around him reach that same level. It is because of his enthusiasm and his love of his community that the Cadet Standard is what it is today.
Our thoughts are with his family as they navigate this difficult time.
