Our librarian, Ms. Lambert, is teaching students about the parts of a book during library today! She always makes it creative and fun!
This Friday, Sept. 20th is the second Intervention Friday for the first nine weeks of school. Students who are required to attend received a letter and a phone call from their child's teacher prior to Sept. 6th. Doors open at 7:30. Please note doors open 30 minutes later than a regular school day. Dismissal is at 12:00 pm.
Family math night is this Thursday!
Ms. Reeves' kinder class is learning through Shared Writing/Morning Message. We practice numerous skills using this process every morning.
Making Conscious Discipline commitments in Mr. Johnson's room this morning. This process helps us set goals for great behavior!
We are recognizing two more of our amazing staff members! Their peers nominated them for the recognition! We love Ms. Hamrick and Ms. Burke!!
We have another fun dress up day this week! This Thursday is, "Tie Up the Alvarado Indians!" Staff and students are encouraged to wear tie-dye to school!
Want to get ahead on Christmas shopping? Shopping through SchoolStore is a great way to shop and earn money for our school! We are trying to get to at least 40% participating in this fundraiser to earn a chance to win a Book Vending Machine. If you haven't signed up yet, ask your child for the large envelope that was sent home from school. If you need a new one, just let your child's teacher know. It's so easy and does not require any selling of products!!
