What after-school programs are available at Connally ISD?

Connally ISD offers two after-school opportunities for students: Cadet Enrichment Hour & Mentoring Alliance.

What is the difference between the two programs?

Cadet Enrichment Hour is an educational enrichment program designed to help students explore new interests, build skills, and participate in engaging activities.

Mentoring Alliance is an after-school childcare program that provides supervision, homework help, mentoring, and care until 6:00 p.m.

Cadet Enrichment Hour

  • FREE for all Connally ISD students
  • Monday–Thursday
    • PreK – 5th : 3:30pm – 4:30pm
    • 6th – 8th : 4pm – 5pm
  • Hands-on enrichment classes, clubs, and activities
  • Free after-school meal
  • Transportation home provided

  • Students learning new skills and exploring interests

Many families may choose both programs if they need childcare beyond the end of Cadet Enrichment Hour.

Mentoring Alliance After School Program

  • Monday–Friday,
    • 3:00pm – 6:00 p.m.
  • Homework help
  • Mentoring
  • Recreation
  • Weekly fee based on household income with financial assistance available.

  • Childcare until 6:00 p.m.
  • Homework help
  • Daily supervision
  • Mentoring and recreation

Many families may choose both programs if they need childcare beyond the end of Cadet Enrichment Hour.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. Each program has its own registration process.

     

  • Yes. Students may attend Cadet Enrichment Hour first, then transition to the Mentoring Alliance program if additional childcare is needed.

  • Families should register for the days their child consistently plans to attend. If your schedule changes, please notify the campus office.

     

  • Questions about Cadet Enrichment Hour should be directed to your child's campus office or Connally ISD.
